Thanks to 3M who produced this excellent video demonstrating how personal fall protection systems for leading edge work must be:

o   Leading edge rated (or the PFPS could fail)

o   Used as the manufacturer intends (or the PFPS could fail)

While OSHA never, ever endorses a product, service or vendor, the message of this video is extremely important. If you are willing to spend time and money on personal fall protection systems, you should ensure that they are selected and used properly.  The video might take some time to download, but it is well worth the effort for the important information it imparts:

In case you wondered, the latest statistics from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (2017) show that falls are still a leading cause of workplace fatalities, the number of fall fatalities increased in 2017, and construction was the industry that had the highest number of workplace fatalities.
